Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

The first season presents a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented recently. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season moves, and how much of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
