Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial championship for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a torrid period, managing just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with former mentor his previous coach.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first trophy since the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt after March of 2023.
The win also means the Russian has achieved 21 championships at 21 various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my both daughters together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six finals, including in that event in the past months.
His retrieving approach and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had prompted observers to wonder if his skill to compete at the top level was concluded.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and perform assertively, backed up by an improved serve.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, winning 4 of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his maiden ATP Tour title, took control to push for a decider.
The opponent rescued four early break points in a close deciding set before the Russian broke to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, the winner earned victory with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
